Q. How long has the company been trading?
A. The company was formed in 1977
Q. How many people do you employ?
A. As a group the company currently employs between 40-50 people, these work across the Solar Control, Factory Divider and Site Segregation Divisions
Q. Are you accredited?
A. Yes we carry all recognised accreditations including CHAS, Safecontractor, Constructionline, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Achilles
Q. Are you DBS Checked?
A. Yes all of our installers and surveyors are checked
Q. Have you worked for businesses similar to mine before?

Westgate are experienced in working with a various sizes of project, all the way up to multi-site requirements. We have worked with many sectors and many of the large brands in the UK.
Q. Do your films fit externally or internally?
A. Majority of the time our solutions are installed internally, however some of the range is available with an external fit, please speak to a specialist with your requirements and we will advise accordingly
Q. Can you install the Film or are you supply only?
A. Westgate operate a team of national installers who supply and install all of our window film solutions, in fact around 85% of our business is supply and install with only 15% being supply only
Q. There’s a wide range of window films with similar characteristics how do I know which one is best for me?
A. Let us know the solar issue you are experiencing and let us do the hard work for you. You will be passed to a industry specific manager who works in your sector and based on experience can offer advice on the solution that will work for you.
Q. Can I clean the window film easily once it is applied?
A. Yes the film is easy to clean and can be treated much like a normal window. It is recommended that the film is allowed to dry out for 2-3 weeks before cleaning. Also most films have a scratch resistant surface, ask one of our specialists if the film you are purchasing has this benefit.
Q. Does the Window Film come with a guarantee?
A. In short yes and the maximum warranty we supply is up to 10 years. If you have a specific film in mind contact us and we will discuss the guarantee period with you
Q. How does 1 way privacy window film work?
A. It works by using light imbalance between two areas, it requires the public side/side with no visibility in to be brighter at all times in order to be effective. Generally speaking this works better for external glazing rather than internal glazing.
Q. What is thermal stress?
A. This is an issue that can be caused by installing dark window films internally to laminated glass. The sun heats up the dark window film and can cause cracking. If you are installing high glare reduction or heat reduction window films Westgate will assess your glazing to ensure this won’t happen, usually by recommending and installing a lighter tint or fitting externally.
Q. What do you mean by Lifetime blind?
A. The blinds we supply are manufactured using robust components and are designed to be low maintenance. Our range of blinds also carry an up to 10 year guarantee.
Q. Do you stock a range of standard blinds?
A. As not all windows are the same shape and size we supply all our blinds to order. We supply a range of robust, blackout, medium duty and roof blinds, all of which we manufacture to meet the bespoke requirements of our clients.
Q. Do Westgate provide installation services?
A. Yes, Westgate can provide installation as part of your quote and we use only approved installers.
Q. How long do I have to wait for an installation?
A. Our standard lead time for large window film projects is 2-3 weeks and for large blind projects it is 3-4 weeks, but as with every business we attempt to work with your lead times. This is one of the first questions that we will ask as part of your enquiry to ensure that we can meet your requirements.
Q. What if the required installation has high level windows?
A. As standard our installers carry step ladders that enable them to install up to a height of 2.7m, anything above this height and Westgate will carry out a survey and our in house contracts can arrange relevant access equipment.
Q. I note that my recently installed window film has water bubbles in it?
A. On rare occasions this can happen and can be expected to dry out within 1-2 months depending upon weather conditions. If this happens and you are concerned you can contact Westgate on 01785 242181
Q. Do Westgate clean windows before installing the window film?
A. Westgate will intensively clean windows before film is applied, assuming that the windows have been kept in a reasonable sate of repair and cleanliness. For larger jobs site surveys will be completed to establish areas and requirements such as this.
Q. Can I place an order for collection from your premises?
A. Yes, if the product is available in stock you can collect from our main office in Stafford, a 2 hour notice period and payment will be required in order to facilitate this.
Q. What is your standard delivery?
A. Westgate provide a standard next day delivery service on all orders placed before 2:00pm. If you have specific delivery requirements outside of this contact our solar team for further delivery options.
